Toor Whole

Description

Toor Whole is also known such as Pigeon Pea, and Red Gram, with the botanical name Cajanus cajan. Toor Whole is cultivated in Myanmar primarily for export purposes, as domestic consumption is very low.
Among the Toor Whole varieties cultivated in Myanmar, the early-maturing types such as Yezin-3 and Yezin-10, the medium-maturing types such as Yezin-5, Yezin-9, Shwe Dingar, and Nga San Pe, and the late-maturing types such as Yezin-6, Yezin-8, and Thu Htaye Kan are well known. In trade, Toor Whole are generally classified and marketed as red Toor Whole and white Toor Whole.
In Myanmar, the main Toor Whole growing region is middle of Myanmar where it is planted as a monsoon crop. Farmers cultivate it both in pure stands and as an intercrop with other crops. Globally, the leading exporters of Toor Whole are Tanzania, Sudan, India, Malawi, Mozambique, and Myanmar. The largest importers are India, Nepal, UAE, USA, and Zimbabwe.
